Scenario

As in any typical nuclear family, I have a father, a mother and a sibling (an older sister), however I do not know my age. Although I can remember that the difference between my parent's ages is the same as my own. Also, my older sister is twice my age, which is one third of my mother's age. Also, in five years time, I will be the age that my sister is now. Please help me, how old am I?

Hint

NOTE: The following sentences will start to reveal the above lateral thinking brain teaser. If you do not want this added hint, do not continue reading. If you want to view the hint however, hover your mouse below:

Much of the scenario is not needed to work out her age. In fact, only two sentences in the entire paragraph are needed to solve the puzzle. If you are still having trouble solving this, the solution to the teaser is available.
