There are several rules that you must follow when using the forum so that Darren Beige and its wonders can continue to survive. Any deviation from these will most likely result in people being banned. When I say banned, I really mean banned - there are different degrees of 'being banned' depending on what you have done - worst of which means you will never even be able to see the website again, meaning there is no chance to re-register or see any of the optical illusions etc that are usually publicly available. I am perfectly happy to ban people who disregard this site, other people and me.

1. Be honest - we will appreciate you for who you are, not how amazing you claim to be - back up what you say with evidence.

2. Post in the correct forum.

3. No abuse of any kind will be tolerated.

4. Please do not advertise your site for the sake of it - if it is beneficial, mention it, but otherwise contact me first (all links have rel="nofollow" in so they cannot be used to improve your page rank etc.)

5. No swearing, racism, sexism, pornography, bigotry or inappropriate discussions of any kind will be tolerated.

6. DO NOT USE CAPITALS WHERE THEY ARE NOT NECESSARY.

7. Do not PM people asking for them to reply to your posts - this is SPAM and will not be tolerated (PMs are monitored by the relevant sub-section)

8. Do not submit the same (or a similar) post twice (either by accident or intentionally) - you can delete your post using the 'X' button, or edit it using the 'Modify' button (on the top right of all your posts)
 
9. 'Bumping', is forbidden. Code in the forum prevents bumping, so edit your post instead. The only way to bring your topic back up in the list is if somebody shows interest and posts a reply.

10. Do not post simply to say "yes", or "lol" unless it is completely relevant.

11. Please do not use large signatures (i.e large pictures). These will be trimmed if found, and a warning issued.

12. Pictures in signatures, are restricted to small 250x150px in dimension. These images must also be compressed as to not drastically slow our servers. The right to pictures in signatures may be removed completely if you do not comply with this rule.

13. Please use proper English (i.e. no internet slang/txt lnguge) as we have people from all over the world who are trying to understand English, and do not need the complication of terrible grammar etc.

14. To keep the topics interesting, please refrain from posting new topics simply to say you have found a new item suitable for the Directory.

15. Please use an appropriate title which is relevant to the topic.

16. You may place a link to your website in your signature; as long as the content of that site does not include any or similar content listed in Rule 5.

Moderators, administrators, and other specialist member groups are exempt from this restriction.
